About JM Farm

J M Farm is one of Ontario’s longest standing Standardbred boutique breeding operations with a motto of QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. Owned and operated by Joe Miskokomon and Shirley Rutherford, the farm has been producing well bred trotters and pacers for more than three decades.

 

We have a long standing history of producing regional, national and international campaigners.

Some of JM Farms’ well known graduates include:

JM Vangogh 1:52.4s ($2,285,500) - outstanding sophomore with multiple Ontario Sires Stakes Gold victories & O’Brien Award nomination who developed into one of North America’s top free for all trotters for a number of years and was the O’Brien Award winner as Canada’s top trotter in 2005.


J M Terror p, 1:50.2s ($581,733) - OSS winner and absolute iron horse with more than 220 lifetime starts. 


J M Hannibal p, 3, 1:54f ($182,978) - OSS winner with 187 starts.


J M Lasstax p, 1:50f ($132,809) - top performer in her class at Western Fair Raceway as a three and four-year-old. Dam of J M Mandamin p, 1:48.4 ($352,868); JM Sportsfan p, 4,1:53.3h, etc.


J M Betonsix p, 3, 1:52.3s, 4, 1:51.4s –‘22 ($187,271) Winner two legs of MGM Ladies at Yonkers in 2022, currently consistent performer on WEG circuit.

Ryan Coke p, 1:51.4s ($740,917) - top pacer on OJC/WEG circuit for many years.


Pam Ryan, a long time member of the J M broodmare band, produced Mystic Mistress (formerly J M Two Lips) - the dam of $1.9 million winner Mystician, Camystic ($779,728), Lucks Mistress ($616,605) - inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame in 2012. Grandam of Warrawee Unique p, 1:49.4s ($235,534).
